Consumers originally thought that the white iPhone would be available just a few weeks after the release of the standard black edition. As the months went on, consumers began to lose interest until rumors of a new release date came and went again. A few brave retailers began to sell their own versions of the white iPhone until Apple found out and put them out of business for good. An unnamed employee at Best Buy took a couple of photos of what looks like an inventory sheet. With a receiving date of February 27th, it looks like Apple is planning on releasing the white Iphone 4 without even telling consumers about it first. Of course, the photos could be a clever fake, and Best Buy may not be one of the first retailers to sell the elusive white iPhone 4, but this is absolutely the closest thing to solid proof that fans have gotten so far.
Apple has repeatedly failed to make good on their promises, but they finally said that the white iPhone 4 will be available sometime in the spring of 2011. While February isn’t quite spring, consumers say that it is close enough. Some are beginning to think that the white iPhone 4 may not even become available until the iPhone 5 is released. You can keep your fingers crossed until February 27th, but knowing Apple you might end up disappointed once again. Unless you are handy with a can of white spray paint you might just have to settle for your iPhone 4 the way that it is.
