According to iTunes and Sports Illustrated, the world’s sexiest app is the SI Swimsuit 2009 app. Despite its $2.99 price tag, the app is expected to be immensely popular and a huge seller due to its position as the most risqué offering so far from iTunes aside from perhaps the Suicide Girls Flip Strip app.
The move is a bold one for Apple in terms of accepting possibly controversial material since the app is rated 17+, Apple’s strongest rating, for Frequent/Intense Mature/Suggestive Themes and Frequent/Intense Sexual Content or Nudity. This is due to the fact that some images feature totally naked models who wear only body paint and even some videos of the body painting.
Fans can expect to see world famous swimsuit models such as Tori Praver, Lucia Dvorska, Melissa Haro, Jessica White, Kim Cloutier, Julie Henderson, Jarah Mariano, Jessica Gomes, Irina Shayk, Esti Ginzburg, Danica Patrick, Daniella Sarahyba, Ariel MEridith, Anne V, Brooklyn Decker, Cintia Dicker, Damaris Lewis and Bar Rafaeli. Each of the girls will have their own photos and videos available through the app and a customizable sports calendar, as well.
It is expected that adult content providers will be watching this move closely since it is known they have wanted to offer their photos and videos over the iPhone for quite some time.
